Fost Plus is the driving force behind the recycling of household packaging in Belgium. Every day, the employees of Fost Plus collaborate with various public and private partners to create a circular economy for household packaging, covering everything from collection at citizens’ homes to sustainable recycling within the country.

The collection, sorting, and recycling of packaging involves a whole chain of public and private entities: governments and waste intermunicipalities, collection companies, sorting centers, recycling facilities, producers, and consumers. Fost Plus acts as the central hub in this unique ecosystem.

All the packaging they collect is recycled into new raw materials in Belgium or neighboring countries, avoiding long-distance transport. In this way, Fost Plus also makes a valuable contribution to economic activity and employment within our country.

In addition to ensuring legal compliance for its members with a focus on operational excellence, Fost Plus is shifting its focus toward creating greater social value. This includes promoting reuse projects, advancing design for recycling, encouraging new business models, and collaborating with environmental organizations. Achieving these goals will require a new approach to stakeholder collaboration and relationship building.

We’re looking for a forward-thinking HR Manager who is passionate about driving meaningful change and fostering a value-driven culture. In this role, you’ll collaborate with senior leadership to design and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the organizational goals and objectives. You will be reporting to the CEO.

 

IN THIS DYNAMIC ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and execute a comprehensive HR plan that addresses the organization’s needs.
  • Support the development of a new organizational culture and values.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs to support the organization’s goals.
  • Monitor HR metrics and provide analysis to senior management to improve organizational performance.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related issues, including employee relations, performance management, and training and development.
  • Refine the organizational structure to ensure efficient operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all HR-related laws and regulations.

  • You have experience in building a value-driven organization and culture.

  • Leading and guiding change is nothing new to you.
  • You are fluent in both Dutch and French (spoken and written).
